Hey, I’m Tasha, founder of The Cash Flow Company, author of Night School: The Financial Literacy Course That Never Made the Curriculum and creator of the online program Invest. Save. Spend. for Canadians.

Like a lot of people, I started on my own money journey. I paid off my debts, built my emergency fund, and felt proud, but I got stuck. I knew the next step was investing, but I didn’t know how. I was scared of being scammed, judged, or shamed for not knowing enough or not having enough to invest, in the first place. So I did what so many of us do; I did nothing. For years. I just kept saving in a regular bank account. I knowwww!!

Eventually, I got tired of feeling stuck. I went back to school, became a licensed Financial Planner and learned how to invest for myself. I never hired anyone; I built the knowledge from the ground up. And when I started working in banking, I kept meeting people who reminded me of the old me: hardworking, smart, but scared to ask for help. That’s when I realized there was a market for my program and I needed to launch it for her. 

Today, I have a fiduciary responsibility to give clients advice that’s in their best interest. I don’t sell products or earn commissions, everything I do is rooted in “actionable education”, like vocational school. My online program, Invest. Save. Outside of money talk, I’m a very proud soccer mom, a lifelong Survivor fan (I’d crush the puzzle challenges, by the way) and when Beyoncé announces a tour, there’s no budget, I’m buying the tickets, period. Because life’s about finding balance to invest, save, spend.
